Re: The positives (if any) to the lost
This is the worst loss, Rpi-wise, since Fred has been the coach, and the worst loss since @cu on 1/27 2008. FIVE years ago. And that was a team w/ no NCAA hopes. This doesn't end the season but we need at least 11 conference games and ku IMO. Don't forget it wasn't that long ago ksu got left out w/ 24 wins and a 10-6 conf record.
Re: The positives (if any) to the lost
The only positive I could come up with was at least that short, white deaf kid didn't play. If he would have played and went off for 20, it would have been worse.
Re: The positives (if any) to the lost
The positives.....Greg McDermont isn't our coach. As hard as this was to watch....the fact he isn't roaming the sidelines adjusting his cufflinks means that what happened last night was the exception.....not the rule, and we will be fine.
Re: The positives (if any) to the lost
Here is my attempt. We now now it takes a perfect storm of EVERY SINGLE PLAYER doing horrible to lose to a team like tech. All we needed was one player to step up and we would have won. So there you go. We were the better team by far but all our players forgot we had a game.
Re: The positives (if any) to the lost
If we learn something from it, that is a positive. I'm kind of wondering what the Creighton boards are like after losing to a team that they beat by 30 at home. And what the #1 Duke boards are like after losing by 30 to anyone. Are their meltdowns as severe?
Re: The positives (if any) to the lost
I alternated watching ISU and Drake-Creighton and those guys in the Mo Valley game were clubbing each other to death.
The difference in athleticism between ISU and them is very evident.
Our problem is our guys have mastered the Too cool for school/I don't really give a **** dynamic.
Re: The positives (if any) to the lost
did the plane make it home safely? I am assuming it did, thats a positive...
