Where is Babb this Year?
Is it me, or has his Defense not have been as good this year? Not just looking at tonight, he was OK tonight, but the entire year.
If he is not shutting his guy down, then why is he starting? Time for McGee to start

I'd like to see more emotion and leadership out of Babb.

Re: Where is Babb this Year?
Babb has been quiet this year. Don't know why. Its just going to be that kind of year I guess.

Re: Where is Babb this Year?
His defense isn't great but he has exactly zero help behind him. Last year there wasn't a lot but Royce was at least quick with his feet and could help cover when the back court got beat. This year he has Booker, Gibson, and Niang behind him...all of which are terrible defenders.

Re: Where is Babb this Year?
Guys are making shots over Babb this year. They missed a lot of shots over Babb last year.

Nothing wrong with his play. He leads our team in steals/game and averages 9 ppg.
Amazing what you guys say after a loss.

Or do you want to sit the leading scorer on the team? Or the 5th year senior PG, which is not a position McGee plays, and have Clyburn bring the ball up from the start of the game? I know that losing this game sucks, and I'm not happy about it either, but let's at least give off the appearance that we are rational people.

Re: Where is Babb this Year?
Last night was a awful storm. Poor parimiter defense and poor parimiter schooting. It looked like we had 4+ guys out there trying to shoot through their slump. Lets not try to put this whole thing on Babb. He has had some nice games this year and will be a key piece moving forward. We knew comming into the season this team was a bubble team. They slipped a little bit on that bubble tonight but thats no need to throw Babb into the fire. Take care of business at home on Saturday and we are right back where we need to be.

Re: Where is Babb this Year?
Tyrus has been better than babb pretty consistently now. Dunno why it's any different than benching booker for a frosh.

Re: Where is Babb this Year?
I saw him in Lubbuck last night. He was playing basketball. So if you are still looking for him, rumor has it he will be in Ames this weekend playing ball.

Re: Where is Babb this Year?
Babb needs to shoot more. Korie needs to shoot only when he is open. Clyburn shouldn't shoot it with a guy in his face. McGee needs to quit practicing his NBA three. In general, our shot selection has been horrible our last two games. No ball movement at all. I feel like Babb is trying to move the ball so he never gets open opportunities.

Re: Where is Babb this Year?
I think sometimes his defense slips a little when he feels like the team needs his offense.

Eh, I think some of you guys might be right though. Time to give Tyrus a chance. He deserves it.
