Re: Players taking frustration out on Twitter
If you are a true fan you don't do things that could potentially hurt your team. Calling out the players on twitter is a huge distraction. People that do this are ********. Period. They suck. I wish painful things on them.

Re: Players taking frustration out on Twitter
It disgusts me that Iowa State has fans that would send those kinds of messages to players on Twitter. It's beyond pathetic to do such a thing and I think KL has every right to say what he did about fans. Do people think that the players aren't upset about the loss? Social media has made it WAY too easy for anyone to hide behind a name/username and spew **** at people when they would never say anything close to that to their face.
Anyone that doesn't see how pathetic sending those Tweets are needs a reality check.

Re: Players taking frustration out on Twitter
I did Twitter a couple years ago for about half a day and decided there was a line of privacy that I just wanted to keep to myself. These high profile athletes and stars are just are killing themselves with the impulsive ridiculous stuff there putting out there.

Re: Players taking frustration out on Twitter
Fans, unfortunately, have the right to tweet players negatively, and the players have the right to respond negatively if they want. I really don't think anyone questions that. The question really is........what good does it accomplish for either side? Nothing that I can see. I would imagine most of the fans that tweeted negatively last night may feel bad about it today, and I would guess that any of the players who responded negatively are probably thinking maybe it was not such a good idea today too. Maybe someday we will decide as a society that all this open social media is not such a great thing after all.
On another subject, can we please stop bringing up the loss to Drake in 1999/2000 and how that team made it to the elite 8, and really played in the championship game in that elite 8 game, blah, blah.....? That team had both Jamaal Tinsley and Marcus Fizer on it (just learning to play together when they lost to Drake) and I'm sorry.....but I don't believe anyone sees any players on this year's team developing into two players of that caliber during this season......so the point anyone is trying to make about what might still happen this season is essentially moot, isn't it?

Maybe the players that need to be motivated and get their head out of their xxx will get ****** because of this and finally start being team players.

Re: Players taking frustration out on Twitter
I did not read through all 10 pages of this thread to know if this was already said, but I really find it humorous how it is okay to bash the players in CyloneFanatic forums, but not on Twitter. Do we think none of the players look at this site?

Re: Players taking frustration out on Twitter
That's pretty crappy from all sides. Fans shouldn't call out players like that. I'm more inclined to side with the players on this one.

Re: Players taking frustration out on Twitter
The only thing more embarrassing than losing to tech is having fans that harass players on twitter after a bad loss. I'm sure it doesn't make much of difference but all of our recruits see those tweets. One of the things the cyclones have going in recruiting is its fans base, so when clowns tweet to players after a loss it certainly doesn't help. I've broken tv remotes, put holes in the wall and literally scared the **** out of my dog while yelling at the tv during a cyclone game, but I would never even think about harassing a player after a poorly played game. I'm sure they are just as dissapointed as the rest of us. I know I'm guilty of having high expectations, but lets face it, we dont really have a quality win, and we are 3-2 in the big 12 and those 3 wins are against teams that have a record of 2-14 in league play
