I'm seeing 5th or 6th right now
Yesterday I would have said 6th or 7th.
Today, I calmed down, and I don't think 3rd is out of the question, if we play like a team. Protect Hilton and sneak a few on the road and we'll be sitting at 3rd (maybe 2nd if we get some help).
Rooting for the guys - a win Saturday will go a long way to quell my fears.
CPR is going to start his first press conference of the season by saying we're going to play smart, tough football, and that we're going to poop them in the mouth coming off the bus.
Seasons like this make me wonder: Could finishing in the top 3 actually be worse than finishing 5th?
Top 3 in a marginal conference may be no better than mid-range in a solid 6-bid league.
Yale, end of WV, TCU, and TT were bad games. We played well against Kansas and Texas. We are not a very good team. We are not as good as our best game and not as bad as our worst game. I think we are about a 5-6 place team. Middle of the pack and lucky to make the NIT.
I would say top 3 or 4. We frankly aren't going to lose at home IMO, and the Big 12 is weak. Not to mention that this is still a good team and contrary to popular belief the season isn't over.
We have a choice to make. We could be top three or we could be 7th. Our choice is to how smart we play on the court for shot selection, extra passing, not getting called for rinky dink fouls, hustling for the ball. Time to ball. Start by shutting down Angel this Saturday.
I still think we have a shot. Just lack inside post play. Ejim is as good of a rebounder as anyone and Niang is crafty but besides that we have nothing. Its appears to be pretty obvious Bookers head is somewhere else, seems like hes lost interest and it almost seems the same with Gibson. Anyone else think that? Seems as Gibson is frustrated with PT or something. Usually production goes up from Fr to So season but since conf play has started and Gibson is coming in off the bench his productivity has went down. Maybe im just remember that texas game last year where he went off
