People do try to amp that KU game up, but you have to treat it like any other game, because you have games after that like Iowa State. You just have to prepare yourself to be ready.”

I agree. Think of our rivalry with Iowa...and then add the fact they are in the same conference. We are a conference game...nothing more, nothing less. KU is their enemy.

Best bulletin board material is showing the highlights from Tech High game. There were few. The inside game was non existent as was the outside game.

I actually think it's a compliment. I read it as the fans don't treat ISU as important as KU, but the team knows they have to be just as prepared and ready to go for ISU (& other conf games) as they do for KU.

Frankly, reading this message board would provide much better material, if they need additional motivation.

I can see Fred walking in there, folding chair in hand, closing the door and slamming the chair against a wall. Spit flies out and paint on the wall chips as he shouts at his team to do better. He tells them they nearly ruined the year after Wednesday but today is the one chance they have left to salvage something. What a waste of time and effort he says. Prove him wrong he says.

It sounds to me like he is saying you have to take away the emotion of Kansas being a big rival game and treat it like any other game not just from a game day perspective but also in moving on. He is using playing ISU as an example. I think he was actually showing us some respect because it sounds like he is saying that you have to be ready for ISU. However, I think you could of inserted any school name in there and it would have been applicable Let's face it, when you don't prepare you lose to Texas Tech.
