Re: Percy and Booker
Percy has a great ability to finish around the rim, when he isn't forcing a terrible shot. I'm sure it has to be maddening for the staff, as I am sure they stress to him the difference between a good shot and a bad shot. Right now he looks like a kid whose Dad is his AAU coach, telling him to shoot it when he touches it. There is certainly ability there, it just needs a lot of coaching.

Re: Percy and Booker
Im surprised about the amount of people poking at Percy's offensive game. Offense is the least of his worries.

Nice post idiot!! Really pay attention to matchups and the fact Percy is just a young soph. So if he transfers whats you plan for next year hero??? I'll trust Fred who just beat the #11 team in the country and has us headed back in the NCAA tourney direction. Please don't post your negitive crap on here...

Re: Percy and Booker
I keep waiting for a spark from Booker and up to recently thought Booker would be a key to our success. The reality is a zebra can't change his stripess. He might have a nice game here or there, but I don't think he can be counted on. If stories that he twittered before the TT game that he can't wait to go on vacation- my guess he's going to have to dig himself out of the dog house.
In Percy's case, I think he has to completely dedicate himself during the off season in the weight room- from both a strength & fitness perspective. I put some blame on the coaching staff for Percy's development. IMO our staff does a poor job with teaching guys on getting low post position on offense and defense.

Re: Percy and Booker
I think Anthony Booker is capable of being a good player. Definately has the size and strength. He was more
productive last year than this year. I can remember a monster dunk of his
in transition against Texas in Hilton last year!
Just a guess, I think Book might be fighting a minor injury bug (again
speculation) he mentions treatments of ESTIM & ice in tweets occasionally.
Ever wonder if that could be a nagging problem and the cause of his decrease in productivity???

Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Percy and Booker
I still like Booker off the bench. He can really give us some good minutes with his ability to hit the 3. As for Percy, PASS THE BALL!!

Re: Percy and Booker
Sometimes we are too hard on these guys...Got to remember they are kids ranging from 19 years of age to 22. They are not ALL NBA pedigree players. They are going to have slumps, and are going to recover from those. I think Percy Gibson is an exceptional, good, young man off the court.

Agree on Booker, he could help this team but he seems to have quit. During time outs he stands back from the huddle and acts completely disinterested. He never played yesterday and his attitude must be showing up in practice. Regarding Percy I was excited about his future last year as he had some quickness and nice touch on offense around the basket. He's put on some weight this year and I was hoping it was muscle, but he seems slower and has lost his touch. Maybe he will get that back and help this team yet this season as we really need some post offense inside once in awhile, especially when Niang is off the court. Maybe Niang can work with him in the off season as somebody mentioned. Is Homan around during the summer?

That's right..... Nothing. Booker's scholarship opens up anyway in a couple of months.
As for Percy, he isn't great and has some holes in his game but he's a lot better than our other post options.
After Percy and Booker you have.....Ellerman

Re: Percy and Booker
Keep shooting Percy. The team needs your inside presence and they will start to fall.
AB, big threes in big games are coming down the road this season.
Clone to the Bone with the up and coming IOWA STATE. -
Re: Percy and Booker
Has FH said anything about Booker recently? I would have liked to have his size in there at times last night, particularly when OSU was getting open right under the basket.

Re: Percy and Booker
Man, everytime Percy gets the ball, I cringe because I know he will throw up some ugly over the body double contested shot NO MATTER WHAT. I really hope Armadi or Edozie can pass out.

Percy actually looked to pass out on the one possession where he had a clear lane to the basket. That tells me that the message is starting to get across.

1 of 10000 doesnt show me much. Every lay up he had was created by someone else. every time he tried making his own shot, he threw up a horrible extremely low percentage shot.
I dont know how a big guy on a team with this many shooters can not ever kick the ball back out.
With that said. His offense looks amazing compared to his D/rebounding/toughness.
