Since when is a guy who is sitting out the season but is on your team and on your roster a recruit? Fred can certainly talk about Jones.

Fred did not cause this problem.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

I know that but you could tell things were not in order at this point.

Surprised nobody has brought up maybe this recruit is Jone's backup? Seems like Jones won't appear at all in a cyclone uniform and maybe Fred knows that

That's not true once they have signed an LOI or financial aid agreement. Once that is done, he can talk all he wants about them. Jones has signed the financial aid agreement and as far as I know has been practicing wth the team.

As I said, he is on the roster on Cyclones.com. If Fred was unable to talk about him the AD wouldn't be able to put him on their website's roster either.

There are no tuition benefits for staff dependents.

I understand there are no official tuition benefits, but scholarships come from somewhere, and having friends in positions to give them out is helpful. Although you are probably right, his recognition as a basketball player with great grades is probably more helpful scholarship wise than his parents working for ISU.

At the very least, his parents aren't in an extremely bad position as far as helping financially.

Fred is not basing scholarship considerations on the household incomes of his players' parents

It was a dumb post but knocking the guy for cleaning up his post but at the same time not enough is equally "hilarious". When posting something on your phone I often have many errors and may just edit something big to make it coherent but leave the rest. Really who gives a ****, he was talking out of his *** so just call him for that.

Bubu sure as hell is. If he couldn't afford it, he wouldn't have walked on in the first place.

Look, teams and schools find ways for walkons to get scholarships. Their work on the team almost turns into a huge volunteer project that takes up a large part of their life. Especially with his good academics, I would wager he does just fine.
