That is the first time I've seen the reasoning behind his waiver to play right away at ISU. Interesting.

Is there any remorse for collecting millions of dollars while failing to perform?

I'm not going to work on my game or stay in shape, but I'll still cash that check. I don't get that mentality.

I haven't read this yet but from what I understand, he hasn't received any money from Houston yet. I've been told that by sources and I've heard Royce say that too. FWIW

I'm convinced that a large % of Americans have some sort of mental illness. I'm dead serious. Maybe I've just been unfortunate enough to see a lot of it. Both subtle and not so subtle.

He wasn't getting a check, he was suspended and prolly was racking up the debt in fines b4 that. Idk why he wasn't working out, but he wasn't getting paid either. It's been discussed multiple times.

I thought I've read stories on his friend having a heart attack while running wind sprints as the root to his anxiety, hadn't herd the pot one before. Got to admire his persistence and honesty if nothing else.

Still not buying what he's selling. A gambling problem is not a mental illness. I don't believe any addiction is mental illness. It says a lot that he hasn't even been working out regularly. Royce-If you don't want to play basketball, don't. Take your degree and do something less stressful...oh wait.

That may be true, but if you watched the Real Sports piece. Royce is living in a nice house and driving a very nice car. I thought there were signing bonuses and that their contracts were guaranteed. I read an article recently where the Rockets suspended Royce a few weeks back so that they wouldn't have to pay him during that suspension, so I was left with the impression that he was being paid.

So the majority of people have mental illness? Guess they still hold down jobs though. Certainly sounds like a lot of his background has been formulated by a social worker parent and smoking Mary wanna at age of 16. And stress can kill you, probably not at 21 though.

I agree. It's crazy that people continue to ridicule Royce after all the shootings and emphasis on mental health problems in the U.S. People blame the parents for not doing the right thing with their mentally unstable child, and here Royce is openly doing what he feels is personally responsible and is looked down upon. Ask yourself if Royce didn't get all of this taken care of now, let it build, and then shot his gift and then himself, who would you blame then?
