Second, who would want to play at OSU? Guys who like to hang out in a locker room like this:
You can see the whole thing on this YouTube link:
Maybe just Maybe the Okie State fans don't like the Product that TFord is putting on the floor, or it mite be that they just Hate Travis Ford's Arrogance....
Maybe we should draw 3,000 a game and then we would get our share of mcdonalds all americans...LOL (Sarcasm Rocks)
Coach is off the sauce, and the fans can tell
I would be very embarrassed if I was an OSU fan, just a pitiful turnout with a very talented team on the floor. Would be nice to play in a conference where there are more than 3-4 teams that draw fans.
Attendance = 8,776 per yahoo box score. They were loud towards the end
Pretty pathetic; but I'm proud of the Cyclone fans and Cyclone Alley!
I wonder if ESPN during realignment screaming "ITS ALL ABOUT FOOTBALL" has decreased basketball interest, or if its just a function of economy and basketball games are harder for people living away from the schools to attend than football?
Also for football, particularly for conference games, each game has a feeling of significance or urgency as far as making a bowl or getting to a better bowl. For basketball, unless you are more of a diehard fan, the games don't seem to have that same feeling of urgency until later in the season, when the conference title race is more defined and the media is focusing on the bubble and tournament seeds.
I love basketball, but I can also see why casual fans may have lukewarm interest at this point in the season.
And finally (sadly), the Big 12 is probably more of a football conference than it ever has been. Texas is always going to be a football-driven state, but OU and OSU have been down recently in MBB while FB at those schools is doing well, and interest at those schools has shifted. MU is gone. KU is consistently taking the conference title, so there isn't really any conference title excitement to draw in fans.
