Is that play the reason we lost this game? Or the refs calls? Or Hoibergs timeouts? Or Clyburn letting guys cut right to the hoop without challenging them? Or Okie State nailing that halfcourt buzzer beater?
I really don't think any single topic cost us the game.
I do, however, think we beat ourselves, and not the other way around. Melvin isn't athletic?

Re: Ejim
He definitely got hacked. That was a really bad no call.

Re: Ejim
Ejim has won jump balls and rebounds against centers 6" taller than him. Nope, not athletic at all.

Im with the OP. This was a game changer. Ejim looked like he had rocks in his head during this stretch. Fred obviously agrees because he pulled Ejim out immediately after this stretch. Typical homer cyclone fans beating up on op for posting an honest and reasonable thought.

Likely took him out because he was frustrated and had just picked up his fourth foul. I don't really agree with you though, he maybe should have called a timeout after he got trapped, but that doesn't change the fact he got hacked right across the arm on that play, and the block he had possibly could have been the game winner for us but instead they called a totally bogus foul and okie state tied it up.

Re: Ejim
All this being said, I LOVE me some Ejim. He is the straw that stirs the drink. Plus he is our quasi Goon. Every good team needs a goon.

So how do we win close games finishing like that? Baffle me with your answer, I'll be waiting. You sound like someone who watched the game on an update tracker online. If I had been watching a score feed rather than the actual game play and calls (why didn't I do that?) I'd be more likely to be down on our team as the sole reason we lost.

I'll give you credit, that is a pretty good comeback. A day late, but nice effort!
Actually I saw us commit multiple fouls as well in the last few minutes that also weren't called, so those canceled out in my head.

Re: Ejim
I agree with the original poster that this was a surprisingly and extremely disappointing play. However, the real reason we lost Wednesday was because our bigs get in foul trouble, which means they have to play soft defense at the end of the game. Look at our three conference losses. Our defense late in those games is just pitiful.
