Re: 2/1 Bracketology
Looks like Lexington with a chance at Louisville. Yippee.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: 2/1 Bracketology
ISU as an 11 seed still. Last year at this time we couldn't get on anyone's radar, this year we almost can't get off. Lots of respect for Fred.

I think to some degree we are still living off last years success, but the next 2 games can go a long way to solidifying our resume. The field at 68 certainly helps too.

Re: 2/1 Bracketology
I like that we are in the last four in, the draw would not be good...

Re: 2/1 Bracketology
Although ISU still has to take advantage of some signature-win opportunities, this shows how little is required to hold ground. ISU has moved from bubble to play-in to firm at-large in a 3-week span without doing anything special.
Something I noticed yesterday — that bad Tech loss, while still a red-mark on the resume, is now RPI 101-200, instead of sub-200.

I don't think that there will be 7 big 10 teams in. I just don't see it.

Re: 2/1 Bracketology
I would actually like that seed if the brackets turned out that way. Probably the easiest road to the championship, not that I think we're better than the teams in the 2 bottom brackets, but definitely dodging some really good teams.

Re: 2/1 Bracketology
You don't have to be really good or have a really good resume. You just have to have to be better or have a better resume than the #38 at large team.

Re: 2/1 Bracketology
The next two games are huge. Lose either one and we are outside looking in with a bit of desperation. Win and we have the bubble at arms length.

If last year's performance had any significant impact, ISU would have had a baseline seeding of 8 or 9 back in November.
You are correct, though, that next two games can provide a boost.

Re: 2/1 Bracketology
Can't afford to lose either of the next two.
