True, but if you say he isn't all Big 12 or a starter level player you are labeled a hater.

Bubu wil start next year.

I highly doubt that. If he does, I think we're in trouble TBH.
Re: Bubu Palo appreciation thread
I don't understand how anyone can still hate on Bubu and still say that he only deserves 5 minutes a game. Last night, he played 15 minutes, playing good defense, getting to the line, passing the ball well, and not committing any turnovers. That one drive he was a little out of control, and lost the ball, but got hit hard, causing him to lose the ball. Also realize that this is about 2 weeks after actually being able to practice with the team.
I don't think that Bubu will start for the majority of next season, but I can truthfully say that having him start wouldn't scare me whatsoever

I thought we would be in trouble when Jacy Holloway was our starting PG, too. But there is something to be said for playing intelligent, solid, and un-flashy basketball at the PG spot, it's not like we will ever need Bubu to score 10 pts a game.

You're the biggest bubu hater I've seen. Gtfo. Your opinion sucks.
Re: Bubu Palo appreciation thread
Bubu is a scapper - hopefully his play will motivate Lucious to play smarter/better
Re: Bubu Palo appreciation thread
Certain posters will always view Bubu's play with prejudice. If he was a 3-star recruit from NYC, his play would be considered aggressive and effective with a natural ability to draw a foul, his shot good enough, and demonstrate a playground toughness. The same play as a local former walk-on is judged as uncontrolled slop, poor shooting, TO prone, and consistently being bailed out by the refs.
It is unfortunate that Bubu lost essentially a season of development as he was on pace to being sufficient starter material for a team with surrounding talent like Scotty, Babb, White, and Ejim.

Maybe the first couple games but I think Monte will be starting by the time conference play rolls around. And no, this isn't me hating on Bubu.
Re: Bubu Palo appreciation thread
Bubu's a little unorthodox, but I think he can really be a good player in the right situation.
I think he can play PG for ISU next year, but he shouldn't be carrying the load that Lucious is this year. I don't think a lineup with Bubu at the 1, Thomas at the 2, and Ejim at the 3 is going to be dynamic enough to score the ball well.
Re: Bubu Palo appreciation thread
Loved his play, only issue was his black & yellow shoes? Anybody notice this?

You do realize that christopherson was the only one on the team to shoot a higher percentage than palo from beyond the arch, last year.

He shot 11 of them, nice sample size.
Re: Bubu Palo appreciation thread
Your second string point guard shouldn't be chucking up a lot of threes, he takes what he is given. It's easy to say that he "can't shoot", when he rarely shoots because of what his role is. He only shoots when he is wide open, why should that be held against him?
