Well the band is back to pulling the usual bull ****. No better way to scare away a huge recruit with the usual "You're not going to make it" chants. At least most of the time it was too loud to even her them.

While I'm not a fan of their dumb free throw chants, my biggest problem this year was them chanting "it doesn't matter" towards the end of the game with big leads against teams like Alabama State. That's just embarrassing. There's no need for that against a team from the freaking SWAC for ******'s sake. I don't see the point of mocking a non conference team that had zero chance of competing with us from the start.

And CA... Even though they are shooting free throws at the other basket then the one your behind. Make some noise. The crowd was alright during Baylor. Nothing spectacular. I know we didn't hit many 3's to get people going nuts, but still...

If you can hear the band then the problem is yourself, not the students who actually make Hilton somewhat noisy during a game.

As I said in the last thread b****ing about the band,
they are students just like you and are just as passionate about ISU basketball. They have some silly traditions but you have all the power in the world to drown them out.

Here's one question I have for the student section. Is it against the rules for the students to stand and cheer while the band is playing? Or is that the designated student nap time?

You talking about at the beginning of the game right after the ISU starting introductions? That's a tradition that's always been done by everybody, not just the student section. I don't think people are going to awkwardly stand there and not chant "Let's go State" just because we are playing OSU or KSU.

Biggest concern here, the fact that I can hear what a group of 30 people are chanting while a conference foe is shooting a free throw in a close game.
