Re: Katz Giving Niang Some Love
Andy Katz loves him some Cyclone basketball, that is for sure.

• I loved Travis Ford's genuinely stunned reaction when the Cowboys upset Kansas. He seriously couldn't believe it had occurred.
Agreed. Hopefully it makes its way into gif form soon. It was great. -

Can't wait for him to only get better and better next few years! Guy is a beast!
If you take away first base, they'll just go find a new ballpark to play in. -
Re: Katz Giving Niang Some Love
Does Georges have a shot at 1st Team All-Freshman?

Re: Katz Giving Niang Some Love
C- Noel
PF- Anthony Bennet (?)
SF- Shabazz Muhammed (?)
SG- Ben McClemore
PG- Marcus Smart
Seems like the PF and SF spots are likely up for grabs. Probably won't get enough attention to pass up guys like Shabazz and [insert UK player here].

Not enough exposure to make 1st team. Unless he has a MONSTER game against KU and ISU wins to get more people to take a look at what he's done this year.

They will be the other two spots unless Georges or another guy comes on.

Yeah, if we were 8-0 in the Big 12 and ranked in the top-15, the team would be getting enough press for Georges to have a chance.
I am curious as to how good Georges will be as junior and senior. His game on offense is already very much that of an upperclassman. If he responds to S&C, can he become a guy that takes over games? At the very least, his defense and rebounding should improve. He appears to be a player that likes to work on his game, as his handle and outside shooting have improved quite a bit in the past 2 years. Because of that, I think he gets even more deft on the offensive end too.

Re: Katz Giving Niang Some Love
Nice mention by Katz. Would have been even better if he had mentioned the connection to Noel, who had to be a great player for Georges to practice his post moves against.

Re: Katz Giving Niang Some Love
Past 3 games for Georges:
31 mins, 16pts, 6rebs, 2 assts and 5-11 3pters
Not bad.

Re: Katz Giving Niang Some Love
I just found out Rico Gathers from Baylor is a freshman. Georges is obviously more likely to make the all-Big 12 freshman team, but Gathers has 3 more years to get bigger and stronger?! He's already 2/3 of Royce White...
