who do we want to win? texas or west va

even though at this point they are at the bottom, there's no telling when a team will make a run. lot of season left.

i'd really like to face texas when they are completely mentally beaten. unfortunately we have to face them with mike kabongo. on the flip side, would be a tough game in morgantown if they get any momentum going.

lucky for us john holmes will likely be out for our game as he re-injured his wrist running stairs.

another player just left the game with an ankle injury too for texas.

I'm pretty sure both of these teams are pretty crappy so I don't think it matters who wins. Not to say we won't lose to one or more on the road. Hopefully we at least split or maybe get both at their place.

Well Texas will have home cooking on their side so there is that and WV will be tough at home, but do not care for either team. To answer the thread WV, just because they play John Denver when they win at home.

Actually it does matter. Seeding wise in the Big 12 Tourney. I'm guessing we would rather play West Virginia and here's why:
UT will only get better with Myck Kabango back, while WVU is still the same team. You can point at the two games in Ames, but WVU got sooo lucky with all the 3's.

so I think we want WVU to win just in case we finish 2nd... Optimism...

Texas is about dead last (only ahead of TCU and TT). Even with Kabongo back, theres about a 2% chance they make the tourney, unless they win the big 12 tourney or win like 8 straight games.

they may well be in the big 12 tourney. remember what happened last year when we lost in rd 1 and got stuck as the 9 seed in the worst region to be in. i'd say it can/will matter. a team with sweet 16 talent got knocked out in the round of 32 because of a big 12 tourney loss.
