I miss Sean Keeler...:wink0st:
Eh, most all of these recruit interviews are the same - "who's contacting you the most? Do you have any favorites? Where have/ are you visited/ visiting? What do you look for in a school? What's your timeline?..."
Literally. All of them. Not just our area media.
the young men get interviewed/ asked the same thing everyday for 2 yrs. they get bored with it, and they don't want to give anything away. We all want to know the same stuff, knowing we'll be unsatisfied with the same canned answers. It's a vicious cycle, and I envy neither the media or the recruit in these instances - even though I'm one of the biggest consumers of recruiting information.
tyrus shot 49% from three in juco.
not knocking bluford or hoiberg's evaluation. i just like to think tyrus is really, really good, and just because another juco kid "likes to shoot alot" doesn't mean he's "like" tyrus mcgee.
tyrus makes a lot.
What I heard (can't remember if this is Chris' suggestion) is that Bluford is the only real offensive threat on the team. That means the other team knows who is going to shoot - and he still makes nearly 40%.
Put him on a team with other (more primary) offensive threats, along with an offensive philosophy that yields good, 3 pt shots - and that % could very well go up.

Rivals shows offers from both us and Arkansas State, with them being listed as "high" on his interest.
A hint off here, but I think if we keep our style up and have some success, Hoiberg will be able to land a top 5-10 talent. He continues to show he lets players play....and that, with our fans, success, path to NBA, I think it's only a matter of time.
I really like Randy Peterson, but that was a shoddy interview. Fred must have a lot of faith in the JUCO big men coming next year. Georges Niang's play certainly eases any fears for us going forward. But, Melvin Ejim is a Senior next year, Percy Gibson will be a Junior. No Clyburn, & No Booker next season. Really need to invest in a quality big man for 2014 and beyond--restock our cupboard for the future.
