Wooee coach...things just got a whole lot more interesting
I'm curious who fans believe will come out on top of the conference at the end of the regular season.

I went with KSU, but I do believe the Cyclones will be right there.
KU- poor offensively
Baylor- way too inconsistent, Scott Drew factor
OSU- young and inconsistent
ISU- has all the pieces, still have something to prove on the road
KSU- lots of experience, which was my determining factor

Four legit contenders - KU, KSU, OSU, and ISU. I think KU will finish strong but drop at least one more on the road - maybe two. It's just a gut feeling, but I think K State is gonna fade. OSU is scary talented, but I wonder if there are enough shots for everyone. ISU might run the table at home but they're going to have to close out a couple road games. I'm thinking it probably comes down to the ISU-OSU game at Hilton on March 6th. But that's a month away, so we'll see what happens.

I should note that if ISU wins Saturday, it's a whole new ballgame.

Kstate. way too experienced compared to these other teams. as long as ISU keeps getting picked eighth im happy.

Re: Wooee coach...things just got a whole lot more interesting
I picked ISU but if I had to go with someone else I might go with OSU. KSU is experienced but I'm not convinced they have enough talent, and I think KU is on the verge of a big meltdown. OSU keeps improving and has proven they can win on the road.

That KU-TCU game was absolutely stunning.
TCU was o-fer the conference and the closest game had been 9 points.
Made our disaster at Tech look like nothing.

Kansas will manage to win the league again.

Re: Wooee coach...things just got a whole lot more interesting
Until KU loses the conference, they are the favorite. They have had "bad" teams over the past 8 seasons and still manage to win the regular season, so I picked them.
If ISU can win this Saturday though, I am going full kool-aid all in on ISU winning the regular season.

I wish KU had lost to some other team other than TCU. The humiliation of the TCU defeat is going to shake them out of any complacency and propel them to the conference championship. They're not going to "take it easy" for a single second, anymore.

Kansas will win. I dont see KU losing any more then 4 conference games. KSU still has to play @KU, @OSU and @BU, OSU still has to come to Ames and play KU at home, and ISU still has to go to Waco and Manhattan, on top of playing OSU and KU in Ames.
Here are my predictions mid-way through this using mred's Big 12 Tournament Bracket Generator... 1. Kansas (15 - 3) 2. Iowa State (13 - 5) 3. Oklahoma State (12 - 6) 4. Kansas State (12 - 6) 5. Baylor (11 - 7) 6. Oklahoma (10 - 8) 7. West Virginia (7 - 11) 8. Texas (6 - 12) 9. Texas Tech (3 - 15) 10. TCU (1 - 17) -

While we can beat anybody on any given night, we have also shown we can lose to people we shouldn't.
