why can we not win on the road?
is it all the turnovers? rebounding? didnt seem like the shooting was all that bad, but we definately need to do a better job on the boards. seemed like k-state had like 30 offensive boards today.

Today, it did seem like Purple Kansas had a ton of second chance buckets. Their fans were pretty riled up for our game as they should have been. No worries though; we'll get our first road win at Texas and I'll be attending!

Meant to say, good road win. Although I'm not sure Texas is considered a good road win anymore?

Because the other team scores more points than we do.

It's much easier to outscore opponents when you have the loose rims that come with a home court advantage. But it's very hard to outscore teams at their house when they can score at will within 5 feet of the bucket.
Add in huge amounts of TO's (every loss that I can recall except for possibly KU, we're giving close to 20 TO's).

Name one team in the Big 12 that is winning road games regularly.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -

Goodness, there is a lot of fail on this site tonight.

Re: why can we not win on the road?
I think it is fair to point out that 3 of our 4 road losses in Big XII play came against the top 3 teams. 2 of them required last second shots in regulation to beat ISU.

Re: why can we not win on the road?
Need to tighten things up on the defensive end. KSU had 79, I think OSU had 80? And KU had over 90 with the OT. Still, those were tight games on the road to ranked foes. They hurt worse because any one of them would be huge, but the losses won't hurt in the grand scheme if we win the ones at home and the ones we should on the road.

Re: why can we not win on the road?
I have asked on other threads and get no answer. We are getting killed inside by that oaf Gipson. Every offensive rebound they either get or he tips it out. Why not put in Booker? He has to be our strongest player, MAYBE he gets a few boards. I love Melving and Will, but if we rely on them to rebound on the road, we are toast. They are not strong enough to hold off 260 lb guys. We just get pushed under the boards.

Why not ask Coach Orr the same question.
The gap in our economy is between what we have and what we think we ought to have--and that is a moral problem, not an economic one. - Paul Heyne
