Who will be favored on Wednesday?
I'm currently writing Monday Musings and I came upon this question........
With Kabongo coming back, the game being in Austin, Iowa State's road woes, who is the favorite on Wednesday?
I'm thinking somewhere near a PICK....What do you guys think?

Re: Who will be favored on Wednesday?
As poorly as we've been on the road, the craziest spread I could imagine would be the Clones -3.5/4.5 -even with Kobongo.
Maybe I'm looking at it through cardinal glasses but I just can't see it being like that. i hope... Self proclaimed 2012 CF Newcomer of the Year -

He's a good player but the Longhorns have had half a pulse all year. Is it too late to expect this team to turn things around?

Re: Who will be favored on Wednesday?
ISU by 3. If you throw out the aberration that was TT (and Iowa) where they played their worst games of the season, the other games have been close against great competition. I would expect Kabongo to take a little while to get into form. It would be ISU by more, however, if it weren't for those two factors.

Re: Who will be favored on Wednesday?
This game on Wednesday is absolutely huge in my opinion. If we can win two this week, and be sitting at 8-4, that would be a great spot to be sitting in down the stretch. I agree with Chris, I see this game no better than a pick'em.

This one is big not only in terms of standings, but in exorcizing the perceived road demons.

I would imagine ISU is still favored by at least 3.

ISU will be favored. This game is beyond huge.

Re: Who will be favored on Wednesday?
It's a completely different story than our 20 pt win at Hilton. Things that make me think that we might lose:
1. We are 1-4 in Big 12 play on the road.
2. Sheldon McClellan texas' leading scorer at 14.3 ppg played 1 minute at Hilton scoring 0 pts. He will be playing probably 30 minutes, scoring double digit points.
3. Myck Kabongo is back.
4. Jonathan Holmes who had 15 pts and 9 rebounds against us who is Texas' leading rebounder and 5th leading scorer broke his hand 3 weeks ago might be cleared to play for the game on Wednesday.
5. Texas has lost 5 games in the Big 12 by 7 pts or less. Those 5 games including games at Baylor, Kansas at home, at Oklahoma, West Virginia at home, and at West Virginia. Granted they have a 2-8 conference record, but it's not like they are getting destroyed in the majority of their losses.
All of these things make me think that our odds of winning aren't very good. If Holmes isn't cleared and Kabongo is rusty, I like our chances a lot!

Re: Who will be favored on Wednesday?
If I were making the line I would give the edge to Texas. They are bound to get an emotional lift with Kabango coming back. ISU seems to be snake bit on the road. We have played well, yet our opponents have played some of their best games as well. I don't expect this one to be any different.
We are very likely to see Texas play their best game of the year, and I wouldn't be surprised if this is a game where our outside shots aren't falling. I hope I'm wrong because I think this game will be critical for ISU to make the NCAA tournament.

UT picked by one. We have to prove ourselves beyond TCU road game. This means Will needs to get after it on the road. Expect Booker to play some too since Percy shows no semblance of defense.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
