Opportunity to Dance this week
I think we have an opportunity to punch our ticket to the NCAA tournament this week. Win both games, and it would take an epic collapse to miss the Dance (like lose every remaining game).
Remaining games:
at Texas
TCU
at Baylor
Texas Tech
Kansas
at Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
at West Virginia.
I don't think losing a game this week is the end of the world but we have a big opportunity to get to 8 conference wins with 6 games remaining. And with a really soft bubble right now, I think we'll lock ourselves in if we can go 2-0 this week.

I'm not remotely concerned about that game but UT has my attention.

Winning the next 4 would be really nice, mainly because those last 4 are going to be really tough.

Re: Opportunity to Dance this week
need to win 4-5 more to wrap up a spot in the tourney.

A loss to either hurts us far more than beating them helps us. We could lose to both KU and OSU at home plus another road loss. That's not my prediction but a possibility. I guess at that point we wouldn't deserve it anyway.

Re: Opportunity to Dance this week
IMO for the Clones to punch their ticket before the month of March rolls around they will need to sweep the next 4 games. That would give them 2 road wins (Texas & Baylor) and 2 home wins against (TCU & Tech). Right now it doesn't matter what caliber teams ISU plays on the road they need to win. In road or neutral site games this year the Clones have an awful record (3-7) and the only wins were against TCU, Drake, and UMKC.

Re: Opportunity to Dance this week
We need at least 11 wins preferably 12 in conference to feel comfortable on selection Sunday in my opinion. I think that is very doable!

I think we need 10 wins if one of those victories is Kansas or Oklahoma State. 11 if we lose both of those games. Which is why I think we are in if we go 2-0 this week. We'll beat Tech at home and, at a minimum, I think we beat Kansas or OSU.
The bubble is extremely soft this year

I was just trying to be positive which I pretty much NEVER do. Now you know why. Not to say that I wasn't extremely confident.
This is getting to "He's out of gas" territory.

This is getting to "He's out of gas" territory. I feel your pain... I tried to inspire some confidence prior to the ISU bowl game against Tulsa and had to deal with the constant debbie downers on the site when they came calling for my head after the game. Oh well... If having confidence in the Clones makes any of us a CF punching bag then so be it.
