Miller and Brinson on Percy Gibson and Anthony Booker
On Booker:
They said he should have seen the floor because Gipson (for KSU) just handled Niang. They questioned the coaching decision unless he was back in the dog house. Anybody know of anything he did? Because I agree he should have played more than Niang, who is great but doesn't matchup well against Gipson.
On Gibson:
They said they saw him mouthing Fred while he was walking up up and down court side. So Fred kept him on the bench (Played only 3 minutes) anyone here of this situation? What beef could PG possibly have with Fred if he's trying to coach while the game is being played?

Not that the game on Saturday was pretty, but if you look to those 2 *** clowns for anything other than babbling idiocy, you need help.

Agree on Booker, and didn't see anything with Percy, but it would make sense as to why he only saw 3 minutes.

Niang didn't really have the mass to keep gipson in check.

Re: Miller and Brinson on Percy Gibson and Anthony Booker
Just my two cents, but Niang/Ejim rendered Gipson useless in the first match-up. Gipson couldn't stay with them on Iowa State's end and played very little because of that and foul trouble. Iowa State likely assumed that would be the case again and Gipson played very well, but still only logged 21 minutes.
With Book in the game, Iowa State's offense doesn't have the same flow/movement. Nothing against Book, he just can't dribble and space the floor and move like Niang/Ejim. So Iowa State gambled that their added offense would outweigh Gipson's offense. Gipson made some shots he normally doesn't, tip your cap to the big fella, but I don't think it was a poor coaching move.
Not sure what happened with Percy, but would assume the match-up mentality was somewhat the same. What makes Iowa State tough to guard is their versatility and Percy and Book don't add the same skills as Niang/Ejim.

The gameplan beat KSU in Hilton, but they are a pretty good team (they are in first place in our league although I doubt Miller and Brinson are aware of that fact) that was going to be very difficult to beat in their place, regardless of who was or was not getting minutes.

Re: Miller and Brinson on Percy Gibson and Anthony Booker
Pretty sure ISU just got beat.... KSU played a great second half and ISU didn't hence KSU won the game. The teams are pretty much even. KSU just played better basketball for longer.
Need to man up and get back to business.
This Percey Booker web drama needs to end. Fred and the staff will make a game plan and who ever can make that happen best for ISU will see the most minutes.

What makes Iowa State tough to guard is their versatility and Percy and Book don't add the same skills as Niang/Ejim. It's not just Gipson, but Henriquez too. Henriquez can't guard Ejim/Niang, and I think Fred wanted to keep him off the floor. Henriquez has played less than 13 minutes twice in BigXII play - 8 minutes each in the 2 games against us.

The only thing they said that made me make this thread was the Percy Gibson thing. Not sure if I believe it.

Not a fan. On the rare occassion when I listen, they rarely have a lot of positive things to say about ISU
