We have 4-5 seniors on this team and we cannot win games down the stretch. So no, I don't feel bad. I hope Hoiberg runs them into the ground the next 3 days and teaches them to close out games. He needs to get mad instead of being all calm and "its okay that you threw up a idiotic shot with 18 seconds left on the shot clock", "no Percy, keep shooting into triple teams and getting blocked, its okay"

Some days I am proud to be a Cyclone fan and proud of our fanbase. Today isn't starting out to be one of those days. Melvin puts up what 20 and 16 and plays his *** off and you don't feel the least bit bad for him that he came so close and had his heart ripped out again? Feel sorry for the fans? Get over yourself. Despite their mistakes having a little compassion for a team that gets so close but can't get over the hump is something good fans do. Your posts reek of entitlement, not fandom.
Almost every one of you used the term "we" to refer to the team. I don't see any team attitude in your posts, only fingerpointing.
Re: You have to feel for these guys..
I personally feel for the players. It sucks losing when you had the lead late. This is the 3rd time that has happend (KU, OSU and Texas). The look on Clyburn's face when that three went in at the end of regulation summed it all up. This isn't what any of these players envisioned. I appreciate the hard work these players put into the game and I will continue to cheer for a fellow Cyclone (win or lose).
Re: You have to feel for these guys..
I'm a big, passionate ISU fan and I hate to see them lose at anytime. Yes Melvin tore it up and played his *** off and same goes to Tyrus (6 man of the year)! So to feel bad for those guys is fine but people need to look at the facts and stats to realize there obviously is a problem when playing on the road. They consistently play down to the level of the opponents and lack complete team effort, not just a couple of players playing the butts off. That isn't going to win many games in the Big 12. When they only have won 2 road games this year, @UMKC & @TCU, that doesn't speak well enough to be considered to be a great conference team or get you in the to dance (if that is what one considers a successful season). Could someone consider it bad luck with the heartbreaking losses? Maybe, but they put themselves in the position late in the games for the other team to have the chance to win or tie it up. I love CFH and I think he has big things coming for the program, but he has more learning to do as well, not just the players. They got the necessary ref calls last night, some of which teams rarely see on the road, they just didn't finish. That's just the way it is and until they learn to close as a unified team, they won't win a road game.

You people act like winning on the road is easy.
I am sure that the players are just as sick as we are about other teams having their prayers answered to win to tie games. Texas does not have a great record, but anyone that thinks they have bad players is out of touch.
Yes, these road games have been tough, but they always are. At least this team is not going into places and getting hammered by 25 like McD teams did.
Re: You have to feel for these guys..
There is alot of bad luck that this team is experiencing at the ends of games. A banked 3 from Kanas in Kansas. A 3 from Texas after they were 4 of 19 from the field and Ok State game.
