You have to feel for these guys..

Regardless of how disappointed and upset you are, you have to feel for our basketball team. They are playing their *** off and just coming up short. I understand that great teams find a way to win, but these other teams are hitting big shots down the stretch and it just has to be deflating to these guys that are playing so hard.

Another point is, some of you need to calm down. You don't think these guys wanted to win very badly? Yes its going to be more difficult to make the big dance now, but it isn't impossible.

They feel worse than us, and left it all out on the floor. Melvin had a game that was deserving of a win. He was a man out there tonight.

I do feel for them. You could see the frustration and disappointment on Will's face during the handshakes.

I don't feel bad for them at all. There the ones making mental mistakes at the end of the game. There the ones going to college for free and getting to play DI basketball. Why should we feel bad for them? Yeah there playing hard and trying hard, but its not like there getting blown out, there making stupid mental errors that 5th year seniors should not make.

We have 4-5 seniors on this team and we cannot win games down the stretch. So no, I don't feel bad. I hope Hoiberg runs them into the ground the next 3 days and teaches them to close out games. He needs to get mad instead of being all calm and "its okay that you threw up a idiotic shot with 18 seconds left on the shot clock", "no Percy, keep shooting into triple teams and getting blocked, its okay"

I support the team and these kids and young men do want it or they wouldn't be where they are

that being said if I don't scream in gonna blow so I will howl and yell and ***** then I will cheer again soon.

I'm not seeing, our effort on D, especially on the road in late game situations is why we lose. They aren't playing their arses off on D for sure.

Whole heartedly agree. The players feel rotten that they lost. Not only that a Double Overtime loss that really took the wind out of there sails physically and emotionally... Melvin Ejim played a hell of a game, and you could tell he was spent physically during that double-overtime period.

I disagree. Yes defense is mostly effort but some of them lack the quickness/size to be great defenders. They are playing hard.

They should feel bad for us. Clyburn could be one of the best players in the Big12 if he wasn't so soft. The rest of the team could try helping Babb out on defense.

Yeah. That is the beef that I had with the team during this game too. Defense was suspect especially during the later stages of the game. You can chalk a lot of it due to fatigue...

Indeed. I don't feel bad for them at all. Guard your guy, rebound the ball, and we win at least 2 out of KU, Tech, OSU and UT. Maybe all four.

I'm sure they feel terrible, even more than us fans do, but they really only have themselves to blame.

As someone else pointed out, you have to play as hard or harder on defense than you do on offense. We don't do that. And you MUST take care of the ball, especially in late game situations. You just can't have stupid possessions down the stretch and we had a TON of them again tonight.

So yes, as bad as they must feel, and I feel for them too, they are the only ones who can turn it around. They have all the power to do what's needed.
