Making the Tournament and RPI
RealTimeRPI.com Men's College Basketball Rating Percentage Index (RPI) Ratings - A leading sports ratings and resources community on the Internet
We currently stand at 53 in RPI. Since the tournament was expanded to 68 teams, all but two teams that were in the top 60 of RPI from a major conference made it into the tournament, per Brent Blum. "Since the tourney expanded to 68 teams, every school from a power conference (Big East, B1G, Big 12, ACC, SEC, PAC-12) that finished in the top 55 of the RPI made the dance. Boston College (No. 58 in RPI in 2012) and Mississippi State (No. 56 in 2011) were the only two schools in the top 60 of the RPI from a power conference that didn't get a ticket over the last two years."
Currently, four Big 12 teams, KU, OU, PK, and OSU, are in the top 26 RPI. They are all locks for the tournament at this point barring epic collapses. Iowa State has wins over two of those teams, and will most likely get a win over Okie State at home on Senior Day, and hopefully a win over Kansas.
Iowa State and Baylor are the only two Big 12 teams on the bubble now. If both can stay in the RPI top 60, and have enough quality wins over the top four teams in the Big 12, both will make the tournament.

just win baby and the problems are solved.

Re: Making the Tournament and RPI
We may get a play in game by not winning on the road again since some of our competition like Creighton is also losing. Colorado and Colorado State are both ahead of us. The Zags are #12. Nebby is #97. TT has fallen to #215.

We only have wins againstt 2 of those teams, not 3.

Re: Making the Tournament and RPI
I would like us to sweep at home so at least we beat everyone in the league once.

What the hell are you talking about?! Play-in game?! Those games are for winners of smaller conferences. Not ISU....Good Lord, really?! District Clone, is this you in disguise? Nobody could say anything more stupid than you. With all your Tony Robbins crap and how you are smarter than everyone else on this board. You are a sports moron, we are just an average team in an average conference. We suck! Got it?! You are so annoying. This team doesn't have the IQ nor the toughness to make it. Kind of like you.

Have some faith! I am as disappointed as the next guy, but we will NOT lose to TCU Saturday as our guys will be fired up and have Hilton behind them...

ESPN has ISU still #40 in their BPI, which may be more accurate than the RPI NCAA College Basketball BPI Rankings - ESPN -

Even though losing to TCU is unlikely, with all the doomsday threads I wouldn't be surprised if somebody is really predicting that.
