I have the same "problem." I get way into games and yell/scream at games. I have gotten the "you need help" look from my wife quite often (or the "you'll wake the neighbors" talk). I only do this when I watch the games on TV. If I am at a game, I'm rather positive which is confusing.
The funny things, outside of watching ISU, I am extremely calm. Heck, someone smashed into my car two weeks ago and I said: "it's cool, these things happen." I guess I am just bi-polar during ISU games that I watch on TV (my moments of temporary insanity).
It is something I really need to work on as I know it drives my wife nuts. I do it for all of ISU sports. I've yet to break anything. I actually think the best thing I can do is tape the game and watch it later.
I'm pretty calm during games. My wife is the one who risks waking the neighbors. I stopped talking basketball after that first sentence there, in case you were wondering.
What about NOT turning off the TV or changing the channel when we are getting routed. I sit and watch the entire game, still cursing at the refs, the players, the coaches, the announcers, random fans getting shown in the crowd. I watch like a train wreck, all the way through as if Im taking it all in to be released into some ecto-plasmic chamber in my basement for later good.
I cannot watch games in public, I'm a mental patient during them. I pace, rock, drink, walk to the front door and smoke on the stoop while watching and screaming through the screen door. For some reason though, when the kick to the nuts happens like at the end of the Kansas, OSU, and Texas games, I start laughing. It's weird I guess, but I'm kinda expecting it a little. I think thats what makes it funny to me.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not dude?
