    If we beat Baylor..

This game is huge, a win here drops a team right up against us on the bubble down a notch, and will definitely help with seeding in Kansas City. I think we will surprise everyone on the road and win all but West Virginia, and then get beat by Oklahoma State at home which would still leave us in the tourney IMO.

Any road to 4-2 probably gets ISU in, but I don't understand; 1) how anyone thinks ISU can win more than one of these road games (BU and OU also playing for a spot, WVU will just be tough on the road), and 2) why anyone would think ISU is going to lose a game in Hilton this year with only 3 more sell-outs left.

How anyone thinks ISU can win more than one on the road

*ISU already destroyed OU - the Cyclones match up extremely well against the Sooners
*WVU is just not good this year
    *Baylor is Baylor is Baylor

I'm optimistic that the Clones will grab two out of those three.

Tech is not good this year. Texas is not good this year. WVU made it a close game in Hilton.

My take is we need to play the last two minutes of the game better to win on the road.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

Yep, beat me to it. We've really had no issue being competitive, just seems the wheels fall off at the end.

Texas is a much more dangerous team with Myck back. Our game showed how much he can open up the floor for everyone (including himself). WVU only made it a close game with us by making 9 of 12 3 pointers in the second half (from a 31.6% shooting team). I think it'll be closer throughout, but no way they can do that again. Right?

We also need teams to stop banking in 25 to 65 foot 3 pointers.

    Re: If we beat Baylor..

I'm not saying we go down and win in Waco, but if we do....suddenly our outlook looks much better.

And i think this team knows that. They have got to be tired of being "that" team on the road. I believe Fred will have them coming out with an us against the world mentality.

These guys need to develop some sort of confidence on the road. Hopefully it starts tonight.

    Disagree, they are still garbage.

Yep, that was a impressive 26 point loss to Kansas.

Until we can beat someone on the road I don't think it is rational to expect a win on the road no matter how close we played at home.

Our defense is our biggest problem. Texas managed just 23% from the field against Kansas and we allowed them 50% in the game against us. When you play up and down basketball ball you get the crowd into it. This is why we do well at home but can't do anything on the road. Right now we are 9th in the nation in scoring offense and 213th in scoring defense. You have to be able to play some defense in order to win championships.

    1) Kansas disagrees
    2) I tend to believe you on this one, but our team let it happen. That is the road game I feel most confident about, but it is their senior day

    Re: If we beat Baylor..

Going into the @Baylor game last year we were 18-7 (8-4) (one game better than us right now) and came out with a loss. So a win could put us in the same situation as last year going into the final 5 games. Cant even begin to explain how importnant this one is. Not to mention we need a decent road win for our resume.
