I must have been watching a different game than some of you. While I've definitely heard better announcing, I thought the duo tonight were fairly decent and didn't come across biased at all.
Frankly, if I were one of them, I would have been gushing over Jackson way more than those two did. I hate all things Baylor, but Jackson is incredible & you gotta love his game and the way he plays it.

I just watched the Shootaround Report on Cyclones.tv and you could see Matt Doherty in the background chatting it up with CFH and watching our guys warm up, so I guess you have to at least give him a lot of credit for working to know the team rather than just relying on some talking points prepared by an intern or something. I'd loved to have heard what him and Fred talked about!

I was watching with about ten buddies on an old big screen TV and we tried getting sound on the whole time but couldn't get it. Sounds like we missed out on some humor.

I don't mind Doherty much, but I really enjoyed the games Miles Simon did last year. Also love Fraschilla as a commentator.

Fran provides insight. Doherty just says things and he thinks it makes him sound cool and educated. He really has no idea what he's doing.

Yeah, couldn't believe his commentary about the Arizona player who was literally thrown out of bounds last night after the whistle. Bill thought it was a let them play moment and shouldn't be a technical.

Yep, at some point in the first half we were up about five and they said something to the effect that just watching the game, you would think Baylor was ahead. Yea, maybe if you're blind or something.

I think Doherty is better than 90% of the talking heads out there.

And he's spot-on about the 1-handed rebounding and receiving passes. Drives me flipping nuts!

Many of you are probably too young to remember but the NFL experimented with this several years ago. They broadcast a game with no announcers whatsoever, only ambient sound. Everyone hated it and they never did it again.

I thought they did a good job. I'm a Chiefs fan and listen to Mitch on the radio do Chiefs games, especially if the Chiefs TV commentator is Dan Deirdorf. Matt D. was just making coaching points or strategy comments. (I'm also, in the grab the ball with 2 hands club.)

Mitch digs the Clones & loves the Mayor. Matt D seems to be coming around and is impressed with the Clones especially with our road victory. He complimented Tyrus & Georges. It will be interesting to hear him if he does another one of our games. It seems like 1st impressions w/ISU werent too good but as he has watched us, he likes what he sees...
