Minnesota was a Top 10 team. Now they are unranked and getting spanked by Iowa. He has reportedly been on the hot seat before. This doesn't surprise me.
They looked awful against Iowa...doesn't surprise me.
And worse against OSU last night. They seem to look great in non-conf then just fall apart in the B10 every year. It will be interesting to see if they still sneak in the tournament, they have terrific computer numbers but they look like they've flat out quit this year.
I think it is best for ISU (and other schools) if Tubby stays right where he is now. Any job that opens in the Big 10 is going to attract some good coaches.
Way do you think his buyout is? It's gotta be like $20 mil. Right? Isn't that what every coaches is? Right?
**** you Gary Barta.

Actually his buyout is for 2.5 million this year, though actually more considering his staff is well paid. Plus you would have to hire a new coach. I know one writer estimated if they fired Tubby this year it would cost the university 6 mil.
BTW I don't think Shaka would want to come to Minnesota (other than a relationship with the AD). He could have had either the Illinois or NC State jobs last year and turned them down. Both are more attractive positions to have in CBB, (better facilities & recruiting grounds).

Agree on Shaka, but for some reason Gopher fans think he's been holding out for this job. Former T'Wolves coach Flip Saunders is supposedly interested in it. They will have some quality candidates I'm sure, B10 job in a major market with a lot of high major talent coming out of the area lately.
