I like the shot where Jordan (30) from KU is shooting the free throws......misses the first, and then squats down to feel the floor before he shoots the second. He had to feel the noise vibrating in the floor. Love the grin on Roy William's face there too. That KU team made the Final Four.

Also I'm pretty sure I saw Seneca in the stands. I wonder if he was on a visit. I could easily see that game making him want to become a Cyclone.
It was like that for a long time. Moving the students behind the basket has only hurt the atmosphere, and you can't really gain that same thing back without moving which won't happen. I don't remember when the students "gave up" those seats, maybe 10 years ago.

And no you didn't see Seneca, this video is from 1993.

I'm not talking about this video. I was talking about the 2000-2001 home Kansas game.

I never get over how Julo appeared to have ZERO athletic ability, like a giraffe on roller skates. If you walked into a gym for a pickup game, he would be the LAST guy chosen, even at his height. Yet he could drive and hit runners, shoot the 3, he even scored on a spin-move in that video! Awesome!

Also, notice Hester in the shot after the game is over. I actually chanted "We-want Hes-ter!" at the TCU game. No one joined me, I don't think anyone got it. Getting old.

Yes, on Julo. And he was a great guy with an awesome sense of humor. I noticed Hester, too. I'll bet he's doing well as an engineer now. ... I just looked him up and I believe he has his own business in the Quad Cities.

I just watched that video from '93 and saw a 20 year younger version of myself storming the court with the rest of them. Man, that was good time!

That is how I remember Hilton being. So loud, you could yell at the person next to you and not be able to be heard. Loud the whole game too, not just after a great play. Ejims ally oop at the beginning of the last game in Hilton would have brought the roof down. Let's bring it back.

I'd love to see the students behind the benches. Hilton is awesome, but when you watch on TV, everyone is sitting down during time-outs, and rarely even standing up during the game. Plus, I'd love students behind the opposing bench to make noise during time-outs.

Did anybody else hear the announcer say "I know a rack thats not straight when I see one"? Happened shortly after the Meyer dunk and the break away rim got stuck. My inner 14 year old is coming out again.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not dude?

I admit I am old, but my God those crowds were unbelievable in those days. The announcers had to yell just to be heard. Hope to hear that Monday night!

Man, Kansas looked terrible that game. I don't think I saw them score even once. We looked great though. I'm not sure if I saw us MISS a shot.

By the way, Cyclone TV hasn't posted any new Classic games for a LONG time. Anyone know what is up with that? Are they saving that for when basketball season is over? It would be nice to have more of these whole games available on there.

Moving the students didn't help...neither does having the delta dental smile cam, applebee's apple shuffle, cyclone jukebox west towne pub song of the game, etc every single timeout.

Our atmosphere still beats the heck outa most places, but it'd be great if it could get back to what it used to be.

Also, our student section now is pretty good, but is nowhere near what it used to be.

I remember getting to sit just a few rows behind the visitors when I was a student against Oklahoma. Billy Tubbs was their coach then and he was fun to give a hard time. It's sad that the students don't get to have those sorts of "interactions" with the visiting team and coaches anymore.
