Can we stop saying that ISU can never get a stop. I seem to recall ISU getting back to back stops when they really needed them starting with a 5 second call on the inbounds play. Drawing a charge is a stop as well. You can't blow the whistle for the official.

Re: Just heard on Sports Center that the Big 12 Office will review the Niang no call
I was okay with them not calling the charge, as bad of a call as that would be. But to call a foul on ISU in the scrum for the ball was beyond pathetic. Couple that with what looked like an over the back on Withey that was called a foul on ISU that cut the lead from 4 points to 2... and it was probably the worst sequence of reffing that I have ever seen in a college basketball this season.
Iowa State got screwed on basically three straight calls in succession of each other... all in the last minute or so of the game. I'd definitely classify it as the worst reffed game of the year.

Get real people... Do u want me to tell you exactly what's going to happen? Big 12: ok, let's see the "no call" referee who blew the call: wow! I sure missed that one! Big 12: Yes you did, very unfortunate. Here's a pay increase and a promotion to the Big East ...what's for dinner?

Well, Melvin and Georges got their usual 2 to 3 fouls that wouldn't even be considered contact in the Big Ten.
If they play normal rotation we toast these guys and there's no end of game "situation" or overtime.

there's no accountability in officiating. If there is, we don't see it. Absolutely. Too bad an "oops we ****ed up" is about the best we will get.

They don't have to review anything. I patted myself on the head condescendingly. Then I called a foul on Melvin Ejim, because I can.

Here is what will come of the review. Niang will get a three game suspension. Why...they will determine that he was actually trying to deliberatly undercut Johnson...and then took a swing at Johnson while he lay on top of him. Do I need a pirate after this.....I forget? We are ISU afterall.

At what point in the game did the Young foul (which should have been called on Whitey) happen? I dont think that was part of the last minute of proceedings?

It was in the last minute. Kansas was in foul mode, which is why Withey, with four fouls, was fouling intentionally.

Even if it is reviewed. Even if the review concludes that the refs screwed up big time, what's the best that can happen? Absolutely nothing. An apology? Means nothing. Refs are suspended?Means nothing"We'll train our refs better?" Yeah right. "This wont happen again?"Sure it wont.
