Great Job Matt!! Can one of you send this to ISU and/or the BigXII conference? If they are reviewing this (as reported by Katz), this would help a bunch.

My thoughts:
A). Niang was set before KU player left his feet.
B). The official appears to be in perfect position to make a call
C). Withey, who should have been on the bench at this time, plows through Luscious for the rebound (a clean rebound wouldn't have gotten the foul on Niang)

Really appears like the official waited until he could call a foul on ISU before he blew the whistle...

That looked every single bit the charge that it looked like from 205 (my angle was right behind Niang). Didn't notice that Withey came over the back after that, and then the foul on Niang to really cap the screw job. What a freaking joke!!!

I always say I don't care if it's good officiating or bad officiating as long as it's consistent.

Swallowing your whistle on the charge & the calling Niang on the floor for a foul? Not consistent.

Sure looks like a foul. Problem was the officials were so inconsistent last night. Niang was the beneficiary of another charging call where he didn't even have one foot on the ground as he was clearly still moving horizontally. Some touch fouls on Whithey as well. Just terrible officiating all around. The refs need to set the tone early on and stick with it. No plowing people over with no call, and then turnaround and call a touch foul. That crew was terrible.

Yep. And also remember this was the last in a series of calls in the last minute or so.

I am ok with the no call charge/block.
Not ok with the foul on the scrum. Whatevs....

Forget the non-call on the charge, JFC that was a horrible call on the loose ball. A very, very quick whistle for two players equally initiating contact for the ball (EJ was on Georges). So bad you have to wonder if he meant to call foul #8 on Withey keeping the ball alive and when Georges reacted the refs again got confused on who the foul was on.

NO IDEA how you can swallow the whistle and then call a BS "reach in" foul on Niang. The ref is in the perfect position and just blows it.

My KU homer boss said it was a freaking charge.

Don't get me wrong Johnson had a great game but that dude gets more ******* calls than anyone I have seen in this league in years. Always out of control on drives.
