Coaches say in a poorly officiated game
Tonight I watched Self mope about every call he got called for a technical right away but what about after that, he was complaining going into every timeout even, and not just him his assistants too. Than you look at the other side of the court, Coach Hoiberg is a class act though sometimes I wish he was a little more in your face, he's calm, he likes getting the word on what was called but he doesn't complain, yell, and stare down the refs the whole game. I was told he went after the refs after the game, he had a right too. Now this leads me to my BIG point, why can't coaches say anything about poorly officiated games its ridiculous that they have to big their tongue when they should have a voice in what their opinion is on the situation. Thoughts???

I'd never make it in basketball, (ever!) I'm way to confrontational. I may wait till after the game, (not that it would matter) and as sad as it is to say, I would seriously go after the ref and draw blood until I was satisfied. ...just saying

I must admit that if I was playing for ISU, Johnson would have been decked while making that final dunk. I would assume that he would be hurt very badly. I'm ashamed of myself for still thinking this the day after the event! Glad that our players have more restraint and class than I would have shown in that case.

I'm not ashamed to think that I would have fouled him hard, if I could catch him.
The other side of my idea: I'm not fast. I probably don't get there to foul, anyway.
I look at it like George Teague nailing T.O. as he danced on the Cowboy logo at midfield. Yes, it's a shade deliberate and premeditated, but it's fair game in that disrespectful scenario. Let the guy make his choice, then let him pay.

I thought it was also an automatic suspension from the Big12. It may be worth not having an assistant travel to OU to get some comments out there.

I think Fred said what needed to be said, if you read between the lines. Why does it matter anyway? Its over at that point.
The gap in our economy is between what we have and what we think we ought to have--and that is a moral problem, not an economic one. - Paul Heyne -

In the radio postgame with Heft, Hoiberg twice said something like "Georges was in position at the end to take a charge and we didn't get the call". After the first time he said "obviously I can't talk a lot more about it" which Heft replied "well we already have" and Hoiberg chuckled. And he ended the interview by saying they will review the tape and send to the Big 12 in needed.
He said about as much about the officiating and the terrible call as he could.

That's Kansas for you though and it shows who their coach is a selfless disrespectful coach, and not just that but his little jump and bump with Releford after the dunk and someone said Self was clapping, yeah Self don't tell your player to apologize because you don't mean a thing that comes out of your mouth.

He said about as much about the officiating and the terrible call as he could. I was listening to that, and even if they look at it it won't do much for us, the game is over, but you can't do anything or say anything really during the game because referees give technicals so easily not just to coaches but to players also.
