I am proud of the CF community

After last night I am rather proud of the Cyclone Fanatic community. The anger and dismay were very intense (as they should have been), but the filth and brute stupidity were at a minimum. Yes, a small number went way out of bounds. But when you look at other boards, the DBs here were few and relatively tame, and the worst offenders were taken to task by our own posters and moderators.

Some credit goes to the mods on that too. They were pretty active in cleaning some stuff up last night, especially from the KU trolls that popped up, and the one guy that was spamming the ref's phone number.

I was ready to go 80's hair band on the Sunset Strip after a gig at the Whiskey but then I had an epiphany; I truly believe this is going to galvanize this team even further and we're going to do some cool things in the season that is left.

I am surprised that with the build-up of ******** that happened that someone didnt completely lose it on the refs on their way off the floor, hit them with something or god forbid even attack them. Im very glad it didnt but it could have gotten really ugly in Hilton last night.

I was actually disappointed when a couple threads got shut down cause I was ticked....and drunk so was bout to get on a roll. We bleed cardinal and gold but can still be good sports in the same breath. Did we get royally ****ed? Yes but being a fan base that is the standard is also what I love about our university and fan base

I wasn't at the game, so maybe I just couldn't hear it, but I was surprised not to hear more booing and screaming at the refs. I would have been going nuts on them during the timeouts if I'd been there.

Could not agree more with this OP. Listening to CW and AG right now on the podcast they did Tuesday, and they deserve huge props for managing "manfully" the very few ugly/disgusting fanatics who embarrass our fan base.
