Its Time.............
Enough is Enough! Its time ISU goes down to KC and goes all in on the Big 12 Tourney!! I feel this team has as good of a chance as any down in KC to take home the tourney crown. It has got to start somwhere people. There is as much parity in the leage this year as I have seen. The team is playing well and is tough mentally. These guys have been kicked when they are down repeatidly. This season is like a Rocky movie, ISU is not as big as other teams it does not have the same star power either but it has a metric $hit ton of heart and is not done pucnching back. If that is not the kind ISU basketball team that this community has come to know and love I do not know what is. Keep the underdog mentallity and get tough on here people. Respect and titles are not always easily earned and the sweetest ones are the ones you had to work hardest for.

Re: Its Time.............
Seeing how well ISU has played away from Hilton this year, I really don't have high hopes for this one.
To win the tournament, it'll probably be three in a row against Oklahoma, Kansas, and Kansas State/Oklahoma State. That's gonna be extremely tough.
I just want to win at least one and break the losing streak.

Re: Its Time.............
That's all well and good, but it all starts by going to Norman and giving the Sooners and old fashioned, behind the wood shed type beating. Then doing to same thing same thing to the Cowgirls when they come to Ames.

Re: Its Time.............
I have this thought every year (make a big run in KC).
But I agree. Hopefully the guys are just HUNGRY and the coaches keep working on the little things...and we'll keep having some lights out shooting. Would love to go wipe the floor in KC of the rest of the league.
I mean, we've had so many not go in our favor, maybe in KC they all will?
One thing that concerns me...I've always said it's hard to beat a team three times in a year. With KU in mind, the thought would be #3 would be a W....but we already basically have one W on them.

Sounds like you are really content with ISU just getting that mid level manager position and riding out the safe and steady life for the next 25 years or so. Just dream big for once haha It feels great

Problem is I think we beat Oklahoma Saturday and we're more than likely facing them the Thursday morning of the tourney for the 3rd time...

Re: Its Time.............
Given their chiming in on the Big Monday hose job, I've been wondering if Mizzou fans will show at the tourney just to root against KU.

Re: Its Time.............
I am thinking the Big 12 wants a KU/ISU semis rematch!

Re: Its Time.............
ESPN/Big 12 are salivating for a KU/ISU rematach. Imagine the ratings bonanza that game would get.
Niang said the guys are hungrier than ever so I doubt they go lay an egg on the road.

Re: Its Time.............
It would really be awesome to make some noise in the Big 12 tourney. It has been so long I forgot what it even feels like haha

I was thinking about this, as well, but we are a really bad matchup for OK. I think if we can handle them well on the road, we can handle them again in the tourney. I REALLY want the ISU/KU rematch. I know we haven't played that well on the road all season, but I would bet my house that EJ won't shoot like he did in Hilton, and McLemore will get Babbed again.

Niang said the guys are hungrier than ever so I doubt they go lay an egg on the road. Unless KU/ISU meet in the championship (which is an outside chance at this point - semi-finals match is more likely), that ratings bonanza is going to have to come from Big 12 Network affiliates.
I just want to end the streak and get to Day 2.
The campaign starts now. November 6, 2012. -

I just want to win at least one and break the losing streak. I don't like it when people say we've played terrible on the road. A more accurate statement is that we struggle to close out games on the road, but we struggle to do that at home, too. We have played well against Baylor, Oklahoma State, and Kansas on the road, but 2 of those we couldn't win due to bad defense and some lucky breaks from the home team.
