Creighton to big east?
According to espn they will join the catholic 7 in 2014. Anyone think McDermott will be able to handle a major conference this time?

Re: Creighton to big east?
Maybe, only because the Big Least plays slow-*** basketball just like the MVC.

Re: Creighton to big east?
Catholic 7 will not be a major conference. On par with West Coast Conference. Niche conference with a couple of good teams but not much depth.
Of course, this also describes the SEC and ACC this year.
Edit: Was thinking of original Catholic 7 (Big East departures). Had not heard that Butler was joining, etc. With those being added, I would like to take this back.

Catholic 7 schools to keep 'Big East' name for new league next season, according to sources - ESPN
According to ESPN article
2013 will be Catholic 7, Xavier, Butler, team TBA
2014 will add Creighton, Dayton, St. Louis
13 team league total

He's having his hands full with the MVC this year. Even with the excessive stat padding of his son.

Of course, this also describes the SEC and ACC this year. Georgetown, Villanova, Marquette, Xavier, Butler, Creighton, and St. Louis mostly besides Xavier and maybe Creighton are all going to the dance this year. That conference would arguably be better then the Big 12 more often then not.

Of course, this also describes the SEC and ACC this year. Georgetown, Marquette, Villanova, Butler, Creighton, St. John's, and Xavier > Gonzaga, St. Mary's, BYU, and a bunch of nobodies

Of course, this also describes the SEC and ACC this year. I'd imagine the new Big East would be maybe 4th or 5th best BB conference.

Re: Creighton to big east?
The "new" Big East would have had 5 ranked teams this year. Maybe 6 (I think Villanova cracked the rankings in early January or so).
