I think it was Carol Hoiberg.

Too bad no one could be there for Tyrus. Sad to see.

My girlfriend sits next to Tyrus in class and he seems like a pretty great guy. I thought that was pretty sad too, given what his time here means to him.

I know missing family would be tough, but to ease the blow, he had 14011 fans backing him up. Thats got to feel good.

OP: To be fair to your wife, did you ever see Bret Meyer's folks?

I was wondering why his family members didn't resemble microwaves or other household electronics.

His mom actually sat next to revkah and I for a couple of seasons.

Speaking of Tyrus, it is rough that his family couldn't make it. Hope everything's OK.
I don't know anything about his family situation. I doubt it's my place to know. I'm just assuming that things happened and they couldn't be there. Don't ruin my assumption.

Who wouldn't want the Mayor as your father figure though?

I think you are mistaking him for Wesley.

This is an example of why Fred won't be coaching in the NBA. He and his family get to deal with human beings.

My son and I attended the Baylor game in Waco last year and got to meet Tyrus after the game. He was really polite and nice to us and he had quite a following of people (presumably family) with him there that night.

Cute point, but the thing is that Fred and his family think of NBA players as human beings too. That's why he is good at this job. He doesn't look down on people on preconceived notions.
