How are the Seeds of the PlayIn Games decided?
I know there are two PlayIn game at the #16Seeds.
But the Other two PlayIn Games, I have seen everywhere from #11Seeds, #12Seeds, #13Seeds, maybe even a 14Seed.
I saw in one Bracketology where we were a playIn as a 13Seed, but with two wins we are now a PlayIN as a #11seed......I'm confused...
How is this determined???

I am pretty sure it is last 4 in are the play-in games for the at-large play-in, that is why the seeds shift.

I think those play-in games are decided by the selection committee on teams that were on the fringe of making the NCAA tournament. The bubble teams..
Obviously with the exception of the automatic 16th seed birth.

Last four at large
Last four overall

Speaking of that, we could very well draw one of those play-in games. I am not sold we are solidly "in" the big dance yet. I think if we win Thursday we are, and if we win two I believe we would avoid the play-in game scenario all together. We are looking at no better than an 8/9 seed unless we win the Big Twelve tournament and then I would think a 6 seed is possible.

It is dumb to me that all the play-in games aren't for 16 seeds. Should be the bottom teams in the tournament that have to play in. Explain to me why a team that is an 11 seed should have to go through a play-in game while teams below it do not have to? Stupid and unfair format if you ask me. I assume this is some sort of compromise with the smaller conferences.

I don't think we will fall all the way to a play-in game, but with how hard we are to prepare for, would it be an advantage to do the play-in almost? No team would have more than 3 days prep time for us. Still, I don't want to see that, and I don't think we will. I think we will be a 10 seed.

Those last four at-large aren't powerhouses themselves.

It also gives the 16 seeds a realistic shot at a winnable game as opposed to being essentially a sacrificial lamb for the 1 seeds.

ESPN's Bracket Guy currently has Temple (at large team as a #12 seed), but the playIn Game is two #11 seeds.
I am assuming that Temple would have been one of the last four in, since a worse seed than the two #11seeds, why wouldn't they be in the playIN game?
Thoughts?

The reason seeds for playin games are moved is becasue of location. Where teams get placed factor into the play in games. If the 4 teams that are in playin games have matchup problems because they have already played with the 12 seeds then they have to get bumped to an 11 seed or a 13 seed. You also have to look at the date of the 4,5,6 seeds sites. as you can't play Wed and then play Thur

Thoughts? Probably have Temple winning the A-10
