From the article: "Iowa State ended its 17-game home slate on Wednesday with a win over No. 13 Oklahoma State by averaging 13,393 fans per game, the best single-season average in 20 years. ISU averaged 13,597 fans per game in 1992-93 and has eclipsed the 13,000-fan mark just three times since, twice in the last two seasons."

I notice, however we take the Kansas game this year, that Fred has 2 of the best 7 home seasons in Hilton history already. That's not a bad start.

Another interesting note: Of the top 5 attendance totals, 2 happened with Hoiberg as a player and 2 as a coach. Don't underestimate the power of Fred in all of this.

so am i reading that right we finished #32 in the country werent we in the low 20's last year?

we weren't expected to be that good. I felt like the conference title kinda snuck up on me and towards the end of the year I though, ****, we could really win this thing.

I think that 32 was ranking our stadium on max capacity.

So...Fred -- IS -- Hilton Magic? Coincidence that Hilton Magic reappeared last year after things officially turned the corner to a positive trend? I think not.

I feel it's time to expand capacity at Hilton and make it the largest Basketball arena in the state. There was talk about it a few years ago and the smack coming from Iowa City was loud and envious.
