He remembers watching Flint Northwestern’s Kelvin Torbert win the 2001 award.
“I actually watched him in high school," Morris said. “He was an amazing player. I went to a couple of his games, and he was a high flier and everything." Morris was in kindergarten at the time.

I believe this is a bit of an upset. There are a couple of other guys who I thought would get the award over Morris. The fact that he got it is awesome. Nice.
