Why would it? One bad game doesn't change a thing. Iowa will still be a darkhorse B1G championship contender, and Iowa State will be lucky to make the NIT.
If you ask the basketball analysts outside the state of Iowa I think you would be surprised to hear their responses. Iowa was pegged as a preseason top 5 team by one ESPN analyst and is ranked in the vast, vast majority of preseason top 25 polls
It's there every year why would it have any effect on how you schedule?
The Iowa game is on the schedule every year, and is a non-con home and home. The SEC game will be the same deal every year. I think we will do everything we can to try and have one of those games at home every year, with the other being on the road.
I think people are forgetting that we did lose some pretty key players last year and havn't exactly played well in Nov and Dec under Hoiberg WITH those players. I'm hoping for a home game. Any road game in any time of the year is rough for us... let alone with a young team in November or December.
