Then people would complain Hoiberg was just as scummy pulling a scholarship from a former walk on.
Not if Bubu was never promised a scholly for this year I wouldn't have.
Bubu basically got a scholly last year because we just happened to have one available that we couldn't fill. I don't think that was any kind of guarantee that he'd get one again this season.
I like Bubu, but I think Amardi might be a more important piece for this team this year. I think the PG position would be fine with Kane, Morris, and Long if needed. I'm more concerned that Edozie is a MAJOR project, and so all we really have down low is Gibson, and he took a big step back last year IMO.
I realize we have Niang, but he can't be asked to play the 5 position all night long IMO. He'll foul out too much.
Bud didn't you know, a team of average talent with a years experience will improve to B10 champs. It's science...

If you ask the basketball analysts outside the state of Iowa I think you would be surprised to hear their responses. Iowa was pegged as a preseason top 5 team by one ESPN analyst and is ranked in the vast, vast majority of preseason top 25 polls
