Re: So Much Respect For Rahshon Clark
You can't recruit players without receiving a copy of the release from their LOI. Clark never asked to be released from his LOI to Iowa State, he never said he wanted to pursue a transfer, therefore, could never have legally received offers from other schools without tampering from other institutions.
You have to be pretty naive to beleive that there isn't shady business going on. I can think of a few cases just with the baseball team that other Big XII schools were ctively recruiting players to transfer DURING THE SEASON... and this was before they annonced they were cutting the program...

Re: So Much Respect For Rahshon Clark
Rahshon has been my favorite ISU player since his spectacular dunk vs. Virginia freshman year. I'm a senior at ISU as well so it's been cool to watch him through 4 years here, and from everything I've heard about him off the court he sounds like a great person too. He will be greatly missed next year.

Dunk? You make it sound like he has hops or something -

All anyone ever wants to talk about it is points scored. Rahshon has not only scored many (903) points for this program, but has also been the heart and soul of this team for four years. And at the same time is an AMAZING person off the court (I would know, as I am his fiance). He has put everything he has into his four years at ISU (in basketball and academics) and I just wanted to give him props for everything he is done. I am SO proud of him.
That's cool. Rahshon has been my favorite Cyclone since he was a freshman. I have had a Rahshon avatar for a long time.
On a sidenote, since you are about as close to the players as one could be, how closely do the players follow the message boards? Particularly CF.

Rahshon actually ran away with a recent vote!! He dominated everyone else! LINK
We love you, Rahshon!

Rashon is the man. I pity the fool who thinks otherwise.

We saw that the other day, and it made him really happy to see that. But you would be suprised at how often people talk about his lack of offense. It can get annoying to hear that when he is doing so much more for the team. Some people only want to focus on points scored and overlook all of the other things he brings to this team. I know the majority of fans know what an asset he is, but there are some that don't. My comments were to those few!

Re: So Much Respect For Rahshon Clark
I love Rashon Clark! I think if he was a "Me" first guy, he could average 20 points a game...but he isn't! He plays the game the way it was meant to be played, team first. He was fine with Stinson and Blaylock hoggin the ball and headlines. He never complained when everybody desserted him (I hope that you as his fiance, never will) and he stands for Cyclone Basketball! He will be one of my All-Time favorite Cyclone players because he is a Cyclone at heart! I am always excited when he has a good game (good defense, double digits in points or rebounds, etc.) because he is one who has paid his due! I am just sad we don't have a better cast around him...I wish he could stick around for a fifth year!
Congrats on your engagement!

I hope he knows that we are so happy to have him - last year a friend and I got some good tickets from my boss for one of the exhibition games, and made sure to shout "We love you, Rahshon!!" I don't think anyone can honestly fault the guy who produced so many awesome dunks over the years for "poor offense" and sound even remotely valid! Setting up screens, etc. is also something that helps the rest of an offensive play take shape!
On the other end of the court, we would be in a world of hurt without his defense. Rahshon's on-the-ball d is what keeps us in a lot of games. He seems like a great role model, too - you don't see someone who is so obviously a hard worker that often. Please tell him how much we truly appreciate all he does!!!
And congrats on the engagement - I wish you guys years of happiness!! His selflessness on the floor shows a great character!!

Re: So Much Respect For Rahshon Clark
Rahshon is a big favorite in our house. I heard some stories of him intreracting with kids at the summer league and they warmed my heart.
I went to a couple of the summer league games. He had a rough time shooting the ball in the summer. I also saw you two interact with one another...you "picking him up", etc. So far during games, he's been shooting rather well. Seems you two are perfect for one another.
Just as he and the Cyclones are a perfect combination!

I really think he has a shot in the NBA to be another Bruce Bowen, a defensive stopper who can hit the three when left open.

Wes does now. He didn't really know about CF until recently. But now that they all know, i'm sure they're going to want to see what people have to say about them and their season : )
