Big 12 ranked #1 conference

Not sure if I agree with #1, but definitely top 3.

I think it was supposed to be the first time in 20 games in Iowa City.

Where do people think the MVC would rank in this? I think they're probably the 4th best conference right now and not that far away from the top three.

The MVC is much weaker this year than it has been in the past. They are 8th in RPI, and that's probably where I would have them right now. The A-10 is a better league this year and I don't think the MVC's better than any BCS league.

Yes, it appears the MVC is down this year. Last year they were ranked ahead of the Big 10, maybe ahead of the SEC as well. Not this year (not that the Big 10 is really worth talking about either). Really too early to say, but this year the Mountain West may end up being better than the Valley as well.

Worst loss: New Orleans 67, Colorado 65. The Buffs have lost three in a row and dropped to 5-5 overall.

I'm glad they didn't mention the 35 point beat down Drake gave to ISU.

If we could beat purdue, we'd be 2-1 vs. big 10, that would make me happy.

Southern Illinois going in the tank is really going to hurt the perception of the MVC, especially if they play better during the conference season. They were a top 20 team in the beginning of the year and have been getting blown out left and right.

If Creighton or Drake can play well in the conference I think they can snag an at-large bid but if they finish with a sizable number of losses it will be interesting to see if the committee gives them some credit for what they've done the last few years. UNI would really have to play well, IMO.

The big 12 has three teams that have a good chance of being ranked in the top 10, and some good quality out of conference wins, such as Nebraska, who was not predicted to be very good, beating Oregon. I see this as the year that the big 12 really starts to shine
