Where can you find the NCAA record for:
consecutive missed 3 pointers?
I'm wondering if SH owns this record or is getting close? He is officially 0-25.
This post is not intended as a rip on SH. Having seen him miss so many in a row just got me thinking what the record is??
I've googled and searched all over the web and can't find it. Anyone know where to get that info?

Re: Where can you find the NCAA record for:
I think if he hits just one he'll start draining a high percentage. It's in his head now and he just needs some confidence. I cheer every time he takes a shot and I hope he keeps taking them. Hopefully they'll start dropping when we start the Big 12 season.

Sorry, just realized that my reply wasn't even close to the topic. No, I don't know where to find that stat -
Re: Where can you find the NCAA record for:
LOL...I want him to make one too. Feel bad for the kid, but I have to wonder if he owns this record.

Re: Where can you find the NCAA record for:
I'd like to think its a numbers game and he's hopefully about a 35% shooter. I'd say he goes 25 for his next 50. There, how's that for an optimistic look on the new year?
Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating. -
Re: Where can you find the NCAA record for:
OK..I found the NCAA 2008 record book. Unfortunately it only lists all the record for positive things and not for futility.
I emailed the listed NCAA contact with my question. Hopefully he responds.

Re: Where can you find the NCAA record for:
I would think it comes down to him and if Aaron Agnew has shot more than 25 of them in his basketball career.
Honestly I hope he quits shooting them. If you see your buddy going around a bar hitting on women and 25 of them in a row turn him down. I think it's time for your buddy to start assisting his friends and playing defense against the fat chick that is trying to take your buddy's skinny chick away from him because "she just wants to go home".

OUTSTANDING analogy...LMAO!

Time to throw myself under the bus...
back in the day I went 0-18 in one game. Pretty sweet! I was a post player and trailer on made baskets. I was open and kept lighting it up from downtown. No wonder I was so wide open. My grandma always said you can't score unless you are open. But needless to say I after watching the tape with coach and one shot was 3 steps over the half court line I didn't shoot another 3 the rest of the year and got the brick award at the end of the year during the b-ball banquet. -
Re: Where can you find the NCAA record for:
As a Jr. in high school, I had an 'extra game' of eligibilty (long story)...so I played in a JV game, I just went nuts trying to do everything, fouled out before half-time, and was showered-up and in the stands by the time the 2nd half started....can't remember hearing anyone else do that...any other Futility stories? I really like the 0-18 game...sounds like you played for Grinnell College.

Re: Where can you find the NCAA record for:
Out of all seriousness its about time that we end the "lets find Haluska a 3" plan. The season is half over and he hasn't hit one. I think Id rather see Jiri launching threes.

Re: Where can you find the NCAA record for:
Maybe if he hits rim, we should count that as good. Easier to rebound. SH shoud be an assist leader with air ball threes and then Brackins or Rashon dunbks on the followup.
0 for 25 is a lot of missed shots. The 3 did not come into play until the 70s or 80s?
What worries me more is he has not made one.
If you are 0 for 25, no percentage can be lower. Ywo more games and the non conference season will be over. I would think about banking a shot.

Re: Where can you find the NCAA record for:
vBookie for how long it takes Haluska to make a 3-pointer??
Seriously, 0-25 is much more than a slump. It is Brock Jacobson-like. Although I think even Brock might be able to hit one or two out of 25 in an actual game. Maybe Sean should just put a foot on the line or just inside and he'll have a better chance.

Re: Where can you find the NCAA record for:
Jared Homan was 1 for 10 and Vroman was 1 for 7. That is worse for ISU in last 5 years other than the present streak. 0 for 4 is next worst.
For the NBA this year, the worst are Vincius and Ager who are both 0 for 7, yet their 3 point line is back further. Ronnie Brewer and Ronnie Turiaf were both 0 for 9 last year in the pros. Looking like the pros did not allow players to go 0-25....
