Comments about tv announcers

They stink! Seriously, 300,000,000 people in this country and these are the best there is? Im talking fb and bb. The BCS bowl announcers were terrible. The Big 10 announcers, sorry to say Morgan should never be allowed to do another game. Im not one of these back stabbers who rips his coaching job here, i thought Morgan made the best of the situation he was in, but as as commentator YIKES! The color commentator doing ISU game today literally changed his story everytime down the court! Maybe im off my rocker with this rant, but some of you on here must agree with me or think im full of it.

I'm on a similar beat as you, but maybe a little different bent. I am so tired of TV announcers regurgitating what I've already seen; that's for the radio, not TV. I would prefer more analysis and play strategy descriptions - tell me why / what the offense & defense is doing.

Maybe they need to just use the initials of the players: BP, SH, RC, JH, WJ, CB.

No joke, the pronunciation of Hubalek's name was funny. They were the typical commentating team. No insight, no research, and nothing to say (worthwhile at least). At least tonight's broadcaster's were niether biased towards either team. That at least makes it bearable.

There is nothing better in all of sports than to listen to Vern Lundquist and Bill Rafferty doing NCAA tourney games together. There are old school, pre espn yuppie robot. They seem like blue collar old uncles having fun.

If they can not do their homework and read a pronouncation list, they should not be on the air....

I loved it when Stacy King kept saying "splash!" after brackins treys

With all the games on TV, I wonder how many of these guys just announce games on the side. There isn't a whole lot of money to be made just announcing 2-3 games per week as part of an expanded broadcast team. The more talented guys left along time ago to make some real money.
