Wait, didnt they get better from year one to year two? How is that progressively worse?

Couldn't that be because he lost Vroman and Homan in those years? I'd say that could make a HUGE difference.

It's a fact Pollard didn't like him. Everyone in the athletic program knew that. He never did.

If Morgan gets a "pass" for Vroman and Homan running out of eligibility and not slammed for bringing guy like Taggart, Gray, Agnew, etc - that didn't live up to expectations...

What kind of pass should Greg be getting for what he inherited?

Actually...you know...lets fire the guy and put out an apology note to Morgan - see if we can get him to come back. If not, lets call around and beg people to coach our team of 3 remaining players after the others either graduate this year or leave because they're tired of the mess.

If that doesn't work, even Steve Alford and the head coach of Sister Mary of the Poor Tech State turns us down, Pollard can just hire a couple ringers from CF to lead the team to the Final 4 in '08/'09.

First of all, i'm just stating the reasons why his team could have gotten worse the same way you all give reasons why Mac deserves a "pass". It's the same thing either way. That's what you people need to understand. Some posters are so hypocritical...Morgan was just bad. He was horrible. But Mac, he's amazing and if he has a bad season it's because of this reason and this reason and this reason.

Now i'm not saying Mac's reasons aren't legitimate reasons, but so were Morgan's. That's all i'm saying.

    I fully agree with you.

This thread (and a couple others) are nothing more than post-loss whining and rehashing of stuff that is long over and done with.

    Nothing more...

Well, we could give Greg the same pass Wayne got ... if he doesn't produce next year, show him the door. I'm not advocating this. What little I've seen of him, I like him. But if you want to compare the two, that would be the way to go.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life:
The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves Orcs. ~ John Rogers

It is a silly one...especially the G-Mac part. Seeing how Jeter was high on the Pollard list during the search and the G-Mac thing developed at the 11th hour (and that G-Mac was a hair away from being a K-State Wildcat).

But can you recruit? What about retaining players? If your power goes out, what kind of abilities to you have in keeping them instead of them transferring to the Depths of the Unsaved?

I question your abilities to compete outside your living room. What about moving up to the next level...can you win there? Or how about on the roof?
