Ill admit I was watching the 2008 NBDL showcase on NBATV. They had a nice intervie with guest Mike Born former guard at ISU. Apparently hes working as a scout for the Trailblazers.
Good to see him doing well.

Man I haven't heard that name in a long long time. When did he play for ISU? I want to say Tim Floyd coached him, but not sure?

He runs a basketball camp every summer at Aspen in dsm. Was kinda cool to see him in there, last year he was out front when I was going in to work out. He commented on my ISU shirt, smiled and said "go Clones."

Thanks for the info. Ran around with Mike, Terry Woods, and Paul Doerfeld (sp) in college. Mike did a really cool graphic design of Johny. Wondering if anyone's got one and would be wanting to part with it. I don't know what kind of work you'd call it but it was tiny dots spaced closer for shading and wide for lighter areas. The picture was a lose-up fo Johny's face, and I'd love to have one.

I have one of the Johnny O pictures, #253 of 950 prints made.
Mike was a good friend of my daughters and gave me a signed copy. As I remember, Mike and Johnnny sold these to raise money for a charity--can't remember which one.
After working part -time for the Blazers,I believe he is now working full-time for them.

Can't imagine you'd want to part with it coming from a friend like Mike. It's awesome that there are some floating around. I was at Mike and Terry's apartment the night he brought the original home and was planning the sale of them. Being a broke college student I decided to spend my money on beer instead. Awe, to be young and stupid.

Always enjoyed watching Mike play ball. He married one of the finest looking & nicest girls to ever come out of my high school.
