What ever happened to L.A. Pomlee?

Anyone know what happened with recruiting L.A. Pomlee? I'm only curious as it still states we are in the running for him recruitment wise, however haven't we used up our scholarships for the year? Is it a possibility that he would walk on if that's the case?

Hawks didn't want him so he took up soccer.

He is probably going to prep school, his grades don't cut it. He recently said that his top 3 were WVU (I guess he wants to be one of Thuggins thugs), Wisconsin, and Iowa State. He is most likely going the prep route though.

We are still recruiting him and as far as I know, he's high on our list, but I've heard that Wisconsin is high on his list.

His grades are an issue. What I have heard for about a year now is ISU is his fav, he just has to get his stuff together in order to get into school in Ames.

I'm not an expert on sports, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night

I think the grade issue is a thing of the past.

I thought health was the bigger issue. He has a blood clot issue in his legs.

If he can get everything straightened out, I'd love to see him be a Cyclone. Wesley, Pomlee, Brackins, would be a really athletic frontcourt.

I used to love watching him on TV when I was in Davenport. The kid is huge. Legit 6'8 from when I stood next to him. I don't think a lot of people realize how good this kid actually is.

If the grade thing cleared up, it safe to say he will commit somewhere very soon. My li bro, a former teammate of his said the Wisconsin coaches wouldnt take him til his grades were straightened out.

Health problems (blood clot) have been cleared up for awhile. guy had a decent game on Saturday

Muscatine was able to keep up with the top team in the Mississippi Athletic Conference on Saturday — for a quarter.

After the first eight minutes, it was all Davenport Central as the Blue Devils cruised to a

77-50 victory over the Muskies.

...

“We came out to play and fed off L.A. (Pomlee, who scored 16 points and had three blocks),” Hicks said. “Being able to hit all those 3’s also helped keep our energy level and confidence up. I also got to credit our bench. They came in and helped us seal the win.”

Helser-Woodrow (-61|122)
Roberts-Harriman (-74|133)
Welch-Ayres (-73|133)
