Rahshon did get his Sportscenter time, most of it was the fall but they did show the dunk. He got screwed out having a Top 10 Play.
I like how Mac huddled the players up while play was going on towards the end of the game and talked to them. For what maybe the first time since Mac has been in Ames he is saying he thinks this team is close and I am glad he told that to his players before they walked off the court. It was just kinda neat to see a coach do that after the score was so one sided.

I think close as in team chemistry. Seems like lately we've really be clicking in all aspects of the game and you can see guys either on the floor or on the bench always smiling and giving guys a pat or pointing at them when they do something good. Just seems like the guys are having a lot of fun right now which when you have fun playing the game it sometimes translates into playing better as a team too.

Not saying we would have won, but we had some opportunites EARLY in both halves to hit some threes. Those go down and it changes the game.

It is a important part of his offense schemes. The outide shooting opens up the inside. Lucca was going to be that guy. Next season, we'll have Lucca and Wes E. It should help matters some.

Rahshon had two that should have made the top 10.

The first half we had a lots of great looks, just couldn't drain them. The second half we looked like a junior high team out there. Defensively though, our guards were awesome all game long.
WE REALLY NEED a big guy on this team. God bless Jiri, but he's the worst starting big guy we've ever had at ISU. I expect to win Big XII titles under Mac, but we wont' with these type of forwards and centers. Hopefully we'll get some in '09.

Next season, we'll have Lucca and Wes E. It should help matters some. Outside shooting will help with some teams, because it will prevent them from double teaming the post. But it won't help much for teams like KU and UT, because their post players are capable of playing straight-up defense and they don't have to normally double-team down low.
Like Landshark said, ISU really needs another big guy (or two) to go with Brackins down low.

Like Landshark said, ISU really needs another big guy (or two) to go with Brackins down low. But, KU DID double down low, every time the ball went down there. That's why we really needed to get something established outside, or at least some cuts to the basket...
