Eikmeier's team improves to 14-0
I was in Des Moines at the Iowa Pork Congress and missed the game. Wes scored 34, 7 3's in game.
Anyone in the Lincoln area can see Wes Play Friday and Saturday, I am planning on going to the Saturday game if anyone wants to get together before the game.
Bergan will face Class C-1’s No. 3-ranked Hastings St. Cecilia 6 p.m. Friday at Lincoln Christian.
I have linked the Fremont Tribune article on the game.

Holy smokes, Wes shot only 12 for 27 in the game. Boy, that was an off night. Of course, he did hit his threes. He only scored 34.....he might have scored 50 if he had been on the first quarter.
Good for Wes. great game.

Did anyone else notice the deals on housing in Fremont? I think I might move there. Not.

Now why do you have to go and disrespect where some people choose to live? Play nice. And "Not" is sooo late 80's anyway.

Hey, Fremont is a very nice town, quiet, great place to raise a family and only 35 miles from downtown Omaha for any activity you want.

Wes is the leading scorer in the state, he is a smoothering defender and is the fastest person I have seen this year with the ball in his hands. He is the team leader.
Re: Eikmeier's team improves to 14-0
awesome i hope he does the same here thanx
Re: Eikmeier's team improves to 14-0
I'm sure that Hastings St. Ceclia will prepare Wes for the backcourts he will go up against in Lawrence, Columbia, Austin, and Stillwater.... hey, don't pile on me for saying this, I hope the kid can contribute and I trust GMac for recruiting him as part of the system he is implementing in Ames.. but small school b'ball in Nebraska isn't exactly the Chicago public school league... maybe he plays and shines in summer AAU ball against national competition, hence his 3-stars and appeal to GMac....
Re: Eikmeier's team improves to 14-0
maybe gmac isn't recruiting him to take over a game. maybe he sees that the kid is a lights out shooter which is something this team desperately needs and therefore we are filling a huge role.

Exactly, he's a defense-stretcher. You couple good shooters (Lucca, Eikmeier) with a solid point guard (Garrett, Buckley), great swing man (Johnson) and a good low post player (Brackins) and you have the making of a potent team. Try to jam the paint, you pay. Try to take away the shooters, you pay. Defense has to honor the long ball and all of the sudden driving to the basket just became a lot easier.

ah, yes....and there it is. I was wondering when a post like this would appear. They always do in Wes threads.
I think these threads need to be taken only as reporting on a recruits season and nothing more. The original poster is only posting as an FYI and is no way necessarily an endorsement of Wes's prowess as a player.
Personally, I want to hear about each of our recruits. But I take the information with a grain of salt.

This is starting to scare me, because I am becoming optimistic all of a sudden. That does sound potent, and next year could be a great year, if no one gets injured/transfers/goes pro. "knock on wood"

The worst thing about our team today is the bigs are better outside shooters than the guards. How many guards do we have that would truct a last minute shot with? We would be a stronger team with better shooting ability from outside. You are so right.
